Help us to provide riding and carriage driving for children and adults with a range of disabilities.
We hire our horses and ponies from Follifoot Park Riding Centre and they are much-loved by both riders and volunteers.
There is often a strong bond between the disabled rider and his or her pony.
In good weather we use the outdoor school for instructed riding, for games that are fun and boost confidence and for exercises which help to increase the rider’s mobility.
In bad weather or in the winter we use the indoor arena for the same purpose.
The Group is based at Follifoot Park Riding Centre which is situated in beautiful countryside just south of Harrogate. The Centre is owned by Julie and Chris Pedley and we are fortunate to have the use of both an outdoor and an indoor school. There is also to an excellent network of local bridleways along which we can hack when the weather allows.
Julie, Chris and the Riding Centre staff support our work and are extremely helpful.
